You Have:  

  • 8+ years of experience leading a team working on large-scale DoD systems, and performing systems engineering in support of command, control, communications, computers, cyber-defense, combat systems, intelligence, surveillance, or reconnaissance missions within a Major Defense Acquisition Program
  • Experience establishing laboratory capabilities, including tools, processes, and infrastructure, in support of technology innovation and development
  • Experience with early technology research, experimentation, or prototyping efforts leading to technology maturation and adoption 
  • Ability to manage staff and client relationships in a fast-paced environment 
  • Ability to communicate and establish collaborative relationships with government clients, Federally Funded Research and Developmental Centers (FFRDC), and associate contractor teammates to achieve program goals 
  • Secret clearance 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience executing DoD Science and Technology (S&T) or similar technology maturation processes that are performed by DoD or national research laboratories  
  • Experience leading a team using a Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approach to manage system definitions and technical baselines 
  • Experience in architecture planning resulting in well-orchestrated, evolutionary improvement of a system or system-of-systems 
  • Experience creating or developing a resilient Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) capability or solution, generating solutions to address vulnerabilities or capability gaps impacting the United States national, military, or civilian PNT or GPS stakeholders, and addressing the PNT technology challenges presented by the U.S. Space Force
  • Knowledge of DoD 5000.01 or 5000.02 and systems engineering standards, including IEEE 15288.1 and IEEE 15288.2 
  • Knowledge of Stakeholder Utility Analysis or similar methodologies to support prioritization of enterprise capability needs 
  • Knowledge of any operational or acquisition challenges of the Global Positioning System (GPS) enterprise, as they relate to the system segments of space, control, or user equipment
  • TS/SCI clearance  
  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a technical field 
  • Systems Engineering Professional Certification, including ASEP, CSEP, or ESEP Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
