Help Desk Technician

The Challenge:

You’ll provide timely and accurate troubleshooting on DoD systems for hardware and software issues. You’ll analyze, resolve, and maintain both hardware and software for networks, e-mail, desktops, and telecommunications. You’ll assist staff via phone, e-mail, and messaging to help resolve their technical issues. You’ll submit and monitor requests in DoD Remedy BMC IT Services Management System for assistance. You’ll work with the senior technical lead to develop new strategies and IT procedures to increase efficiency, enhance workflow, and improve staff productivity. You Have:

-1 year of experience as an IT Help Desk administrator or Trouble-Ticket Analyst

-Knowledge of the Remedy BMC ITSMS for assistance from internal staff experiencing problems with computer hardware, software, and other computer-related technologies

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:

-Experience with supporting NIPR and SIPR

-Experience with property and supply accountability, scheduling, operational serviceability, and equipment preparation checks and performing routine equipment maintenance

-Ability to multitask and fill multiple roles simultaneously

-Ability to react to changes quickly and improvise and adapt with little or no notice

-Secret clearance
