Network Architect

The Challenge:

A well-designed network is critical to move data and enable Department of Defense to achieve their mission, but how can an organization make sure their network will fit their current and evolving needs? Crafting the right network, with the right equipment and software, requires a combination of technical skill and careful planning. That’s why we need you, a network engineer who knows how to craft the exact network, the Department of Defense needs.

As a network engineer on our team, you’ll work with the Department of Defense a reliable network to support critical missions. You’ll collaborate with SMEs, customers and users to learn the strategic goals and operational needs that shape the network requirements. You’ll then share your expertise during the planning of acquisition, installation, configuration, and maintenance of the network components. From resolving interoperability issues across platforms, to supporting the acquisition of hardware, you’ll put your hardware and software talents to good use. This is your chance to share your experience with backbone networks, cloud technologies, and core networking, while broadening your network engineering work. You Have:

  • 8+ years of experience with designing, deploying, and advanced support of multi-protocol IP backbone and access networks

  • Experience with routing and switching protocols, including BGP, IS-IS, OSPF, MPLS, LDP, RSVP, VPLS, or L3VPNs

  • Experience in deploying, upgrading and troubleshooting multivendor network equipment and solutions, including Cisco, or Juniper

  • Ability to train Network Engineering staff to level up by providing and explaining different network design and implementation.

  • Ability to evaluate emerging technologies and create implementation strategies for inclusion in the wider network

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • IAT Level II Certification

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with Secret classified networks

  • Experience with DISA

  • CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, or JNCP certification

Compensation:

The proposed salary range for this position in Colorado is 140,000 to 160,000. Final salary will be determined based on various factors.
