System Administrator

The Challenge:

We’re looking for a systems administrator with expertise in Linux to be a part of an Agile team supporting implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of mission critical systems. You'll perform Linux system setup and management, research, evaluate, and recommend methods and products for protecting computer data and applications and develop supporting technical documentation. You will play a crucial role in identifying, diagnosing, and resolving system issues. 

As a systems administrator on our project, you’ll support the software development environment and support architecture development, testing, deployment, and version control. You’ll help customers overcome the challenges that come with tool creation and modernization and overcome tough challenges through monitoring and performance management. You’ll analyze problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission critical network. Help design and implement modifications to meet evolving security standards, policies and technical requirements. Build, configure and maintain hardware; install, configure and maintain software. Perform virus scanning, patching and other routine system maintenance. Document tasks, procedures, system architecture and configurations. Research, troubleshoot, recommend and implement innovative solutions to complex problems. Guide your clients through migration planning and implementation. Broaden your skillset into areas like virtualization containerization with Docker. We focus on growing as a team, so you’ll share your expertise through leadership and mentoring as you help the team work through challenges and develop new methodologies. As a technical leader, you’ll identify new opportunities to modernize the network to help your customers meet their needs.

You Have:

-10+ years of experience with systems administration

-Experience with Linux, including Red Hat, such as RHEL 5 or RHEL 6, or CentOS 7

-Experience with building, including rack and stack, and maintaining lab environments and production systems, both locally and deployed worldwide

-Experience with writing and maintaining scripts, including SSH, bash, C-Sharp, or Perl shell scripting

-Experience with routing, DNS, NTP, or IP tables

-Experience with server setup and management

-Experience with Virtualization/VMWare, including ESXI servers

-TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

-BA or BS degree or 15+ years of experience with systems administration in lieu of a degree

Nice If You Have:

-Experience with system administration or infrastructure workflow software, such as Ansible, Puppet, SALT, or Chef

-Experience with networking technologies and components, including switches and routers

-Experience with Python

-Experience with Network Attached Storage (NAS) or storage arrays

-Experience with authoring system documentation

-Ability to communicate clearly and troubleshoot problems with customers

-DoD 8570 IAT Level 1 certification preferred

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
