The Challenge:Â Â
 What if you could use your hardware and software skills to improve the technology supporting signal analysis tools? With so much relying on complex systems, a skilled systems administrator can be the difference that makes a project successful. Weâre looking for a systems administrator with Linux expertise and experience in SVN, Active Directory, VMware, and virtual environments to maintain and troubleshoot system software, maintain integrity of systems, and configure network components. As a systems administrator on our project, youâll support the signals analysis tool suite software development environment and support tool development, testing, deployment, and version control.
Youâll help customers overcome the challenges that come with tool creation and modernization. Youâll provide your customers insight into their network through monitoring and performance management. You will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining operating system workstations and servers, including virtual, Cloud, and web servers, in support of business processing requirements. You'll perform software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages. You'll schedule installations and upgrades and maintain them in accordance with established IT policies and procedures. Your technical expertise will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission critical network. Your experience and communication skills will come in handy as you guide your clients through migration planning and implementation. This is an opportunity to broaden your skillset into areas like virtualization. You Have:Â
15+ years of experience as a systems administrator
5+ years of experience with Windows, Unix, and Linux operating systems, including Window Server 2012 or newer, CentOS, Fedora, and RedHat
5+ years of experience with Cisco networking components and technology such as CISCO NX-OS
Experience installing, configuring, optimizing, and securing network components
Experience managing a lab and network consisting of a mix of hardware, software, storage, and virtualization infrastructure
Experience with VMWare and virtual environments
Ability to install and configure virtual servers and clients
TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
Bachelorâs degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or Mathematics or 20+ years of experience with systems administration in lieu of a degree
DoD 8570 Certification including A+ CE, Security+ CE,CCNA-Security, CISSP, Network+ CE Certification, or SSCP
Nice If You Have:Â
Experience developing and maintaining virtualized network infrastructure
Experience with STE and STN requirements and remediation methodologies
Experience with Active Directory, UNIX, Windows, and Storage administration
Experience with Python, Java, C/C++, and Perl
Experience with NetApp storage arrays or Dell PowerVault MD300 Storage devices
Experience administering VMware VSphere servers and VMware ESXi
Knowledge of NiagaraFiles
Knowledge of systems and network security, auditing, and user authentication
Knowledge of SNMP, NETSEER, UAM, SEAR, Centrify, CASPORT, IAVAâs, CYBORGBUNNY and STE.STN requirements and remediation methodologies

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individualâs particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $81,800.00 to $186,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allenâs total compensation package for employees.Work Model
