As a Theater Gateway Lead, your role is an essential part of U.S. Army’s effort to build a persistent forward presence in the theater. You will assist a DoD client in refining and implementing a comprehensive theater movement and operations strategy for a dispersed workforce, operating in a non-standard, OCONUS location, in a bilateral setting, on a rotational basis. You will provide varying levels of support to customer support, process improvement, and operations as a Theater Operational Manager of U.S. service members entering or departing the region. You will ensure excellent support of teams, systems, programs and hardware to better assist teams in their day-to-day operations.  You will perform a wide range of administrative, training, and office support tasks for the department or managers to facilitate well-organized operations in support of in-region security assistance and security cooperation activities. You will oversee the execution of client current movement and contingency plans, day-to-day operations, and analyze outcomes from security assistance engagements. You will establish movement operating procedures, conduct in-country coordination for facilities and support, communicate with forward entities, and support crisis-action duties and responsibilities.

You Have: 

  • 5+ years of experience of establishing and maintaining client or in-country relationships, security assistance, and security cooperation, including operational improvement plans
  • 2+ years of experience acting as a liaison between the Operations team and teams within the organization, including leadership and U.S. Government entities
  • Ability to take poorly defined problems and convert them into questions for which practical solutions can be defined
  • Ability to be flexible, take initiative, and innovate to succeed in an ambiguous and fast-paced, international setting with culturally diverse groups
  • Ability to rotate to a forward location for up to 90 days, and travel up to 30 days
  • Ability to prepare and modify documents including correspondence, drafts, and emails
  • Ability to maintain electronic and hard copy filing systems
  • Ability to install, configure, and operate workstation, telephony, video, and mobile hardware or software including sat phone
  • Secret clearance
  • HS diploma and 10+ years of experience with operations support management, or Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience with operations support management

Nice If You Have: 

  • Experience in drafting well-written communications to different business stakeholders, including employees, customers, and partners
  • Experience collaborating with in-country experts and leadership, and keeping the executive team briefed
  • Ability to operate MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to show a score of 2/2/2 on the DLPT in the Japanese language
  • Ability to collect and analyze data to identify trends, diagnose problems, and create solutions to solve problems
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies, systems, solutions, and procedures, and further identify opportunities in improving the support process
  • Ability to resolve escalated teams and member issues quickly, efficiently, and within policy guidelines
  • Possession of strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Possession of strong interpersonal skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
