As an Live, Virtual, Constructive (LVC) Technical Lead and Project Manager, your expertise in integrating various training systems is crucial for delivering advanced training solutions to our defense clients. You will oversee the planning, designing, and implementation of intricate LVC training environments, ensuring alignment with client training objectives and optimal performance. Your role is essential in managing all phases of the program life cycle from inception through completion, guaranteeing delivery on cost, on schedule, and meeting all technical requirements. By enabling seamless integration and interaction of LVC systems, you will contribute significantly to the effectiveness of national defense training programs.
You will lead cross-functional teams focused on engineering excellence, ensuring all training systems, hardware, software, and IT components are well-coordinated and meet quality standards. You will serve as the primary interface for client communications and stakeholder management, providing regular updates and managing program performance. Additionally, your experience with tactical data links, secure communications, and operational military experience will be key to ensuring realistic and effective training environments.
What You'll Do:
- Lead the full life cycle of LVC technical projects, from concept design through integration, testing, and deployment.
- Oversee the integration of live, virtual, and constructive training environments, ensuring systems work cohesively to meet training objectives.
- Develop and execute detailed project plans, balancing scope, capacity, and delivery goals.
- Provide transparency and regular updates on project status, risks, and outcomes through dashboards, reports, and executive briefings.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to align technical architecture and standards with client goals.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks across cost, schedule, and technical performance.
- Ensure compliance with defense acquisition, contracting, and security requirements.
- Manage program artifacts, including contractor proposals, deliverables, and technical documentation.
- Leverage your expertise in tactical data links to ensure the seamless integration of communication systems.
- Apply your operational military experience to develop training scenarios that enhance realism and effectiveness.

You Have:
- 7+ years of experience managing technical projects with delivery on time and within budget
- Experience with DoD acquisition processes, systems engineering, and project execution
- Experience integrating training systems across live, virtual, and constructive training environments
- Experience with tactical data links, Live-Virtual-Constructive Training Networks and their integration into training environments
- Experience with military operations, including providing insight into practical application and training effectiveness
- Knowledge of Training and Education Command training systems enterprise
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage projects across multiple geographic areas
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field
Nice If You Have:
- Experience managing projects that require significant logistical support
- Ability to translate product direction and system requirements into detailed, executable plans
- Top Secret clearance
- Master’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
- Graduate of the Army War College, Command and Staff College, or equivalent service level school

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $112,800.00 to $257,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
