Software Engineer, Mid

Key Role:  

Develop and maintain system and application automation solutions using PowerShell, YAML, and other scripting technologies on enterprise supported systems that include on premise Windows Server applications, Linux applications, and Cloud-based applications. Provide ongoing operational support and maintenance activities for the long-term viability of enterprise systems and provide application and server administration and troubleshooting support. Research and resolve reported problems and collaborate with internal teams to implement changes supporting enterprise applications. Provide and create installation and configuration documentation. Suggest improvements for tasks and processes, changes, upgrades, and troubleshooting and escalation of urgent issues. Participate in an on-call rotation. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

Basic Qualifications:

-2+ years of experience with Windows Server administration, including IIS 7+ management and implementation

-Experience with task automation using PowerShell scripting, System Center Orchestrator, or Ansible

-Ability to document and apply technical writing standards to a heterogenous computing environment

-Ability to monitor and troubleshoot enterprise-wide applications, including demonstrating solid fundamental computing concepts

-Ability to provide a high level of client service while working in a collaborative work setting

-HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle DBs

-Experience with NIST 800-171 or DFARS

-Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Office 365 applications

-Ability to work individually and in a team environment

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentations

-BA or BS degree in Information Systems, CS, or Engineering

-Security+ Certification
