Systems Programmable Logic and Software Engineer

Key Role:

Apply basic programmable logic engineering technical standards and principles associated with hardware design languages for embedded development to verification requirements. Apply basic software engineering technical standards and principles associated with Ada, C, C++, and similar computer languages for software development to verification requirements. Comprehend complex embedded, application, and trusted processing to support an Air Force client across nuclear sustainment and acquisition programs and systems. Assist with nuclear surety and certification processes and contribute to certification policy. Represent and support future nuclear program certification efforts. Develop and build knowledge of emerging programmable logic and software technologies.

Basic Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience with programmable logic devices

-Knowledge of fundamental software engineering principles

-Secret clearance

-BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with cryptographic algorithms

-Experience with nuclear weapon systems

-Experience with real-time embedded software development

-Experience with the Cybersecurity of physical systems and firmware

-Knowledge of various embedded architectures

-Ability to work independently or in a team environment

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Possession of excellent organizational, time management, analytical, and problem-solving skills

-Top Secret clearance

-BS degree in Engineering, CS, or related technical field preferred; MA or MS degree in CS, Computer Engineering, EE, Mathematics, or a related field or 10+ years of experience in a professional work environment a plus
