Wireless Field Engineer

Key Role:

Be interested in providing our clients with advanced RF communications services specifically designed to ensure that real-world system performance fully meets their expectations. Provide a complete systems solution across the entire wireless enterprise such as RF systems integration, infrastructure, and device and waveform development. Join a team of RF system experts. Design RF systems to meet coverage, reliability, and availability requirements. Perform analyses to predict installed antenna and RF system performance, identify interference concerns, and ensure RF safety. Draft installation and cutover plans for RF systems and assist with the installation and cutover. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Work without considerable direction, and mentor and supervise team members.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with RF systems
  • Experience analyzing and implementing a variety of wireless communications technologies
  • Experience with RF or Lab test equipment, including spectrum analyzers or network analyzers
  • Experience with DMR, Cellular, or SDR technologies 
  • Knowledge of configuring and deploying IP networking equipment, including servers, routers, and switches
  • Ability to lift up to 40lbs
  • Ability to perform work in challenging environments
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time to CONUS and OCONUS locations
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in EE, Physics, or Engineering

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with DoD communications systems
  • Experience working with virtual environments using VMware
  • Knowledge of both Windows and Linux operating systems
  • TS/SCI clearance

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
