Acquisition Manager, Senior

Key Role:

Lead acquisition and procurement management for a government client in a close team environment. Maintain responsibility for gathering requirements, performing market surveys for potential procurement avenues, and developing proposed solutions for applicability to stated functional needs. Leverage knowledge of systems that command the procurement process to support integrated project teams (IPTs) in the analysis and improvement of procurement procedures. Develop procurement initiation documentation, including requests for quotation (RFQs), statements of work (SOWs), performance specifications, and requested memoranda that most effectively meet program needs in accordance with cost, schedule, and technical requirements. Work with other functional areas to develop and execute long-term comprehensive strategic procurement strategies. Develop timely, high-quality deliverables using team resources and self-editing, including adjusting quickly to ambiguous work and client consulting situations. Foster collaboration through soliciting and providing feedback to the team, demonstrate expertise in active listening, and raise challenges and concerns appropriately.

Basic Qualifications:

-6+ years of experience with acquisition

-Experience with working in a professional environment

-Experience with providing project support

-Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree
