Cyber Security Engineer

Key Role:

Conduct testing and analysis to identify vulnerabilities and potential threat vectors into platforms, weapons systems and tactical networks, develops exploits, and engineers attack methodologies and defensive counter-measures. Apply leading-edge principles, theories, and concepts; contribute to the development of new principles and concepts. Work on unusually complex problems and provides highly innovative solutions to include evaluating the integration of emerging cyber technologies into multiple systems, performing penetration testing, performing cyber forensics, system security engineering, integrating identify management solutions, developing mitigation strategies to reduce risk for systems with a high cyber-attack risk, interfacing with senior policy and accrediting authorities across various DoD services and Combatant Commands. Operate with substantial latitude for unreviewed action or decision; mentors or supervises employees in both firm and technical competencies.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of experience with cyber security engineering

  • Experience with platforms and weapons systems architectures

  • Knowledge of service level concepts of operation and deployment of system capability

  • Ability to lead cyber teams in offensive and defensive maneuvers

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, CE, CS, MIS, CIS, or Systems Engineering

  • IAT II 8570 Compliance

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with Air platforms and Modeling and Simulation (M&S) for system engineering and applying cyber-based analysis to models

  • Experience with penetration testing against platforms

  • Ability to oversee the efforts of less senior staff or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job

  • Top Secret clearance

  • Master's in Engineering, Physics, Math, CE, CS, MIS, CIS, SE

  • CISSP, CEH, OSCP, or CCNA Certifications
