Digital Forensics Examiner Subject Matter Expert (SME) , Senior

Key Role:

Collect, analyze, and present digital-related evidence in support of computer criminal investigations. Apply leading-edge principles, theories, and concepts; contributes to the development of new principles and concepts. Work on unusually complex problems and provides highly innovative solutions. Operate with substantial latitude for unreviewed action or decision; mentor or supervise employees in both firm and technical competencies.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience with supporting investigation of intrusion crimes, cracks files and system passwords, and recovers deleted, fragmented and corrupted data from digital media of all types
  • Experience with conducting memory, network and malware analysis as needed
  • Knowledge of common digital forensic examination tools, including FTK, EnCase, and X-Ways to perform forensics examinations on the hard drives of computers, storage devices, cell phones, or any electronic device that may hold evidence that could be used in a court of law
  • Ability to lead the Counterintelligence Team
  • Ability to perform forensic analysis of digital information and gathers and handles evidence
  • Ability to perform a variety of forensic and electronic discovery services, including digital evidence preservation, forensic analysis, data recovery, electronic mail extraction, and database examination
  • Ability to perform D/MM forensics examinations, analysis, and techniques for CI investigations; forensic litigation, including report writing, expert witness testimony, discovery, and chain of custody; conducting both technical and administrative reviews of expert forensic reports
  • Ability to observe proper evidence custody and control procedures, documents procedures and findings in a manner suitable for courtroom presentation and prepares comprehensive written notes
  • TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
  • Bachelor’s Degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience as a EnCase Certified Examiner (EnCE), Cellebrite Certified Mobile Examiner (CCME), Oxygen Forensic® Certified Examiner (OFCE), GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner (GCFE), Magnet Certified Forensic Examiner (MCFE), Certified Computer Examiner (CCE) Certified Forensic Computer Examiner (CFCE), Digital Media Collector (DMC), Digital Forensic Examiner (DFE) or Cyber Crime Investigator (CCI)
