Operations Manager

Key Role:

Leads the execution of daily business operations to safely produce quality products that meet schedule and budget targets. Function as a project manager for key engineering and manufacturing projects. Establish and maintain relationships with client stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes. Assist with developing procedures and driving continuous improvement throughout all departmental operations by focusing on safety, production goals, problem-solving, and team building.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with project or operations management in a manufacturing or prototyping environment

  • 5+ years of experience working under a Quality Management System, ISO9001, or AS9100

  • Experience with leading cross-functional teams, including a variety of technical and non-technical personnel, including engineers, business leaders, technicians, and other program staff

  • Knowledge of manufacturing technologies and approaches, including additive and traditional subtractive manufacturing techniques

  • Ability to create and maintain detailed working schedules and assist with budgets to control and measure program performance throughout project execution

  • Ability to communicate technical and programmatic information to all program stakeholders in a clear, concise, and professional manner, using a variety of verbal and written methods

  • Ability to collaborate with an integrated product team, including a variety of technical and non-technical teammates

  • Ability to implement Lean Manufacturing concepts to include 5S, and Visual Management

  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or Business Administration

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with using MRP systems for production or prototyping environment

  • Experience with supply chain and procurement

  • Experience with quality control and quality assurance

  • Experience with fabrication, assembly, and integration of electromechanical prototypes or military systems

  • Knowledge of product design for manufacturability, reliability, maintainability, ruggedization, and exposure to extreme environments

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,600.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
