Targeting Analyst

The Opportunity: 

As a target intelligence analyst on our team, you’ll help your client understand various targets, target systems, and their vulnerabilities. Using your understanding of fusing intelligence, you will support the development of analytic studies in direct support to operational planning supporting the DoD's efforts. You’ll validate the information and apply client tradecraft as you build assessments for warfighters and policymakers and facilitate cooperation with other team countries.

You will bring in-depth understanding and expertise to implement the joint targeting cycle and analyze threat platforms and organizations to support operational planning and targeting efforts. This is a chance to grow your expertise, develop new skills in all-source intelligence, and share your methodologies with other professionals. You Have: 

  • 12+ years of experience in all-source intelligence analysis 

  • 8+ years of experience in targeting analysis, including producing target development, nominations, battle damage assessments, and target systems analysis 

  • Experience in military capabilities analysis or order of battle analysis 

  • Knowledge of IC-standard intelligence and production tools, databases, techniques, and platforms, including but not limited to JTT and MIDB 

  • Knowledge of joint command and subordinate organization’s structure, role, and command relationship

  • TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam

  • Bachelor's degree 

Nice If You Have: 

  • Experience as a targeting analyst supporting joint command-level organizations 

  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills, including confidently interfacing with senior military and civilian officials 

  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

  • Master's degree

  • Completion of Joint Targeting courses 

Clearance: 

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
