The Opportunity:
Everyone is trying to “harness the cloud,” but not everyone knows how. As a cloud engineer, you know how to create a cloud-based technical architecture that meets client needs and takes advantage of cloud capabilities. We need you to help us develop cloud-based solutions for some of the toughest problems.
This is an opportunity to use the latest cloud technologies as you look for ways to improve your client’s environment using current cloud capabilities. Your technical expertise will be vital as you work to inform strategy and design and ensure standards are met. You’ll recommend tools and solutions based on your research of the current environment and knowledge of various on-premise, cloud-based, and hybrid resources. You’ll help the client overcome their most difficult challenges in the cloud. Additionally, you’ll broaden your skill set in cloud native services, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), while developing critical systems for the Federal government. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

You Have:
7+ years of experience supporting, designing, modifying, developing, writing, or implementing software programming applications or enterprise applications using Agile methods
Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure, AWS resources, and vendor-native cloud services, including CloudWatch and Cloud Trail, Service Mesh Istio, Cloud Cyber Security Zero Trust Architecture in the cloud, Docker, and Artifactory tools, such as Nexus
Experience with Elasticsearch or Open Search, and Agile methodologies and tools
Experience with full stack development tools, including Spring Boot, Fetch and Promise core APIs, NodeJS, Angular, jQuery, Redux, jQuery, JSON, XML, and Linux or Bash
Experience with full stack engineering, cloud migration and technologies, including AWS ECS, EKS, ECR, SSM, EC2, S3, CloudWatch, WAF, Lambda, SQS, SNS, ALB, VPC, Certificate Manager, KMS, Firewall, IAM, RDS, Aurora, Elasticsearch, and Route53
Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, Search, general security OIDC, networking, GitLab CI pipelines, Terraform, Nexus NxRM, Nexus Lifecycle, and SonarQube
Experience maintaining technical documentation and participating in technical briefs to leadership and clients
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
HS diploma or GED
Cloud Certification, including AWS
Nice If You Have:
Experience with patent or intellectual property (IP) processes, policies, or systems
Experience with SRE methodologies
Experience providing DME and O&M development and leadership support, including contributing to root cause analysis during incidents
Experience with Python or other scripting programming language and Lucene-based search plugin development
Experience with test-driven development and Section 508 compliance
Experience triaging and troubleshooting technical tickets
Experience developing according to modern standards, including strict mode compliance, modularization techniques and tools, and frameworks and libraries
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar field

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
