Configuration Management Specialist, Senior

Key Role:

Plan, evaluate, track, analyze, and coordinate configuration management (CM) activities for a large portfolio, including multiple programs and interrelated projects and compile and maintain technical documentation, including change orders and specifications. Examine documents to verify completeness and accuracy of data and resolve discrepancies with document originators. Maintain a computerized document control records management system and hardcopy documents to ensure compliance with all applicable and required standards. Develop and maintain procedures and standards for maintaining documents and change control of documents, including document development, approval, production, distribution, and amendment. Plan, direct, and manage document and content management life cycles and work with either structured or unstructured metadata. Analyze and maintain CM process standards, plans, and procedures for the portfolio, program, and project managers. Describe and document issues for different audiences, managers, system engineers, and administrators and prepare or present briefings and other communications artifacts covering multiple engineering disciplines.

Basic Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience in a configuration management or documentation role

-Experience with analyzing, developing, and reviewing technical change proposals, evaluations, and comment sheets and analyzing any potential impacts of the changes

-Experience with meeting support, including record keeping, providing proposed technical discussions, producing meeting support packages, keeping a record of technical discussions, and providing the meeting chair with technical and administrative support

-Ability to manage time effectively and complete multiple priority tasks simultaneously

-Active Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience in a DoD environment, including configuration management of military standards

-Experience with tactical data links (TDLs)

-Experience with writing, developing, and changing military standards

-Experience with standardization agreements (STANAGs) for TDLs

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-BA or BS degree in Business Administration or a related technical field

-Configuration Management Certification
