As a back-end developer, you know that a good site or system needs the right combination of clean code, APIs, analytics, and infrastructure to develop a user-focused solution. We’re looking for an experienced back-end developer with the software engineering skills it takes to identify potential risks, contribute to solution development, and create efficient and effective systems for our clients.
As a back-end developer at Booz Allen, you’ll use the latest architectural approaches and open-source frameworks and tools to deliver solutions. Using your software engineering experience, you’ll work with the development team to create custom tools, systems, and sites with consistent performance and scalability.

You Have:
5+ years of experience working on software development teams
5+ years of experience with schema design, indexes and sharding, query optimization, and large-scale ETL
3+ years of experience with high-scale relational databases in production using SQL Server or PostgreSQL
3+ years of experience with scripting and programming, including SQL, PowerShell, or Bash, and C#, C++, or Java
3+ years of experience with database version control and database administration
Knowledge of web technologies, applications, software systems and networks, and database security
Secret clearance
Bachelor’s degree
Nice If You Have:
Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS)
Experience with ORMs, including LINQ or Entity Framework
Experience with Cloud, including AWS RDS or Azure SQL
Experience with ElasticSearch
Experience with DoD STIGs
Top Secret clearance
Master's degree
DoD 8570 IAT II Certification
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
