Job Description
Key Role:
Serve as the Extended Enterprise Environment (EEE) Security Lead in the National Security sector, directly supporting EEE governance and operations activities at the direction of the National Security Sector Business Information Security Officer (BISO). Expand BISO reach by ensuring EEEs under the National Security portfolio are appropriately configured, audited, and reviewed based upon predefined security and risk posture. Assist in developing, implementing, and leading security measures to protect both projects and infrastructure while also guiding sector teams towards security best practices and risk mitigation. Serve as a cybersecurity subject matter expert, advising on emerging threats and trends and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Be a skilled communicator, working in conjunction with sector teams to build a robust and resilient security posture.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience with government compliance, certification, and accreditation processes, including frameworks such as FedRAMP, NIST, and DoD standards
Experience with security gap identification and mitigation through analysis of Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&Ms)
Experience with firewalls, endpoint security, vulnerability remediation, incident response, risk and compliance, and IT governance
Knowledge of network security protocols, system administration, and security tools
Ability to coach, advise, and support EEE owners in executing security responsibilities
Ability to support BISO strategic objectives and understand broader sector business objectives
Ability to lead discussions amongst various stakeholders and mitigate risks
Ability to present recommendations to senior management
Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience in information security, or 10+ years of experience in information security in lieu of a degree
Additional Qualifications:
Experience leading successful cross-functional efforts across cyber and business teams
Experience designing, deploying, and performing maintenance of security architectures
Experience creating and maintaining system security plans (SSPs), implementing and monitoring security controls, and documenting security procedures and policies
Experience interfacing with senior leadership, providing executive summaries, and communicating technical concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff
Knowledge of software engineering fundamentals, cloud environments, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP), development, security, and operations, such as DevSecOps, Artificial Intelligence, and Zero Trust
Knowledge of network architecture, data protection, and application security
Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders across various accounts
Possession of analytical, problem-solving, strategic-thinking, and decision-making skills to manage security risks effectively
TS/SCI clearance
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Information Systems Security Management Professional (ISSMP), or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) Certification
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,600.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
