FP&A Analyst

Key Role:

Serve as a financial planning analyst for a large defense account. Adapt to change on a regular basis and deliver quick and accurate analysis to account executives. Gather and interpret complex financial data. Partner with account executives and key parties across the business to incorporate all relevant information into financial analytics to develop executive insights and perspectives, identify business trends, and recommend action plans. Develop recommendations and executive reports for management and perform analysis of financial data related to business performance. Manage the day-to-day activities of a small FP&A team responsible for developing and reporting against the annual and multi-year business plans, bottoms-up forecasting process, and effectively developing strategies to identify and minimize financial risks in accordance with the firm’s ERM process. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in an accounting or finance role of a high performing and professional services provider
  • 2+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis
  • Experience with reporting and analyzing operations or business results for business units of $500M+ in revenue
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, including creating detailed financial, analytical, and scenario-based models
  • Ability to communicate financial information efficiently and effectively
  • Bachelor's degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with finance and accounting for a government services provider
  • Experience with using Hyperion Essbase, Tableau, and Oracle BI products
  • Ability to create presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint that are succinct and easily presented to leadership
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment while independently managing special projects and initiatives
  • Ability to demonstrate creativity in problem-solving and think strategically about the big picture
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate effectively with internal and external constituents
  • Possession of excellent presentation skills
  • Master's degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $51,600.00 to $106,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
