Network Access Control Engineer, Senior

Key Role:

Work with an expert team focused on designing, implementing, and operating next generation security solutions for government and commercial clients. Perform hands-on evaluation, implementation, and operation of leading security Cyber defense tools and technologies, apply in-depth defense strategies in large and complex networks to rapidly identify vulnerabilities and threats, prioritize response actions, and develop effective counter-measures. Apply thought leadership in a highly collaborative and innovative work environment to solve complex security challenges.

Basic Qualifications:

-2+ years of experience with performing systems administration in Windows, Macintosh, Linux, or VMware environments, including performing basic troubleshooting, installation, or configuration, monitoring system performance or availability, and performing security upgrades

-2+ years of experience with network or system management tools, including Splunk, SolarWinds, BigFix, or WhatsUpGold, SCCM, and network packet sniffers, including Wireshark

-Experience with deployment or daily maintenance of network access control (NAC) solutions, including ForeScout CounterACT appliances and Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)

-Experience with performing physical or logical network engineering, including configuration of routers, firewalls, and switches, configuring WAN, LAN, VLAN, WLAN, VPN and system administration services, such as Active Directory, and domain management

-Experience with implementing NAC or network devices in fault tolerant and high availability configurations

-Knowledge of protocols, including 802.1x, RADIUS, TACACS+, DHCP, DNS, SNMP, and LDAP
-Ability to create clear and accurate network diagrams based on information provided by client
using tools such as Visio

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-HS diploma or GED and 8 years of experience with IT in a professional work environment or BA or BS degree and 5 years of experience with IT in a professional work environment

Additional Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience with Linux administration, including Debian and RedHat distribution variants or derivatives

-Experience in scripting with Bash or Python

-Experience with integrating Cybersecurity data using enterprise and custom tools and data aggregation and analysis tools, including Splunk

-Knowledge of federal information security policies, standards, procedures, directives, frameworks, federal security authorizations, assessment, and risk management processes for enterprise systems

-Ability to provide support in an IT operations and maintenance Tier II/III role, including ticket work information updates, issue response, and remediation

-Active Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree

-ForeScout Certification, including FSCA or FSCE preferred

-CCNP Security or Network+ Certification preferred
