Job Description
Key Role:
Manage operational risk, regulatory risk, and risk related to financial reporting through the company’s SOX program and maintaining an effective SOX framework as a public company. Work closely with process and control owners to assess end-to-end processes and SOX controls to ensure the SOX control environment remains current with business and technology practices. Work closely with the Government Accounting Compliance (GAC), Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and Internal Audit (IA) teams to assess risk across the broader control environment and identify and implement opportunities for shared controls in the GAC and SOX areas to effectively manage risk objectives while also allowing for increased efficiency in testing practices. Cover Hire to Retire, Sales to Cash, Source to Settle, Record to Report, including Fixed Assets, Leases, and Stock-based Compensation, and IT general controls.
Basic Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in SOX compliance
- Experience with leading people and developing teams
- Knowledge of US GAAP, COSO, PCAOB Auditing Standards, Sarbanes-Oxley, risk and controls standards, and business process best practices
- Ability to manage direct staff and effectively coordinate other internal and external process participants in a matrixed environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA credential
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience with Costpoint, Deltek Time, Workday, and Ivalua
- Experience with Workiva
- Knowledge of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) Business Systems
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Possession of strong project management and governance skills
- Possession of excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills, including to executive audiences

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,600.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
