Job Description
Key Role:
Support veterans to help with suicide prevention using Mental Health Assistant, a browser-based web application containing SOAP and RESTful web service applications based in Azure Cloud. Focus on development and sustainment while working on cross-functional scrum teams using SAFe Agile methodology. Write Java code to implement features and address bugs, perform developer unit testing to ensure functionality meets requirements, and participate in peer code reviews. Work with SQA Testers to process bug reports and communicate bug fixes, and collaborate with senior technical leads on solution design, participating in daily scrum calls to report status, identify obstacles, and collaborate on solutions. Participate in sprint planning activities to estimate work required to meet objectives.
Basic Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience as an enterprise-level Full Stack Developer
- Experience with production support of multiple applications and root cause analysis
- Experience with authentication security code frameworks, including HPI, PPI, or HIPPA
- Experience with DevOps, including CI/CD pipelines for building and deploying with Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices to cloud environments
- Experience with the management, development, and optimization of SQL and NoSQL databases
- Experience with build management tools, including Maven, WebPack, NPM, or HELM
- Experience with management of federated systems using FHIR or HL7
- Knowledge of Spring Framework, and designing and maintaining services within Azure Cloud, including SaaS or PaaS
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience with SAFe Agile, React, HTML5, JSP, RHEL8 Linux administration, and Cosmos DB
- Experience as an Enterprise Architect
- Experience mentoring and developing other software developers
- Experience resolving code-level security vulnerabilities using CodeQL
- Experience with Veterans Affairs
- Experience in the healthcare domain
- Knowledge of Git source control
- Ability to maintain status of work using Jira activities and design discussions with Technical Team Leaders, and successfully work directly with the customer
- Ability to learn new technologies and security enhancements, and stay informed of industry trends
- Ability to support development on multiple applications simultaneously

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
