The Opportunity:

As a data architect, you know how to apply your creative-thinking and analytical mindset to help organizations manage their data assets. We’re looking for an experienced data architect like you to deliver leading-edge solutions for our Navy clients.

As a data architect on our team, you’ll use your extensive technical expertise to design data architecture solutions for service-oriented architecture and big data analytics. You’ll resolve routine data architecture-related issues in collaboration with business analysts and technology teams by providing advice on data warehousing methods and approaches, analyzing data architecture related business needs, and making recommendations on future data architecture developments. 

In this role, you’ll grow your technical expertise, apply best practices and use tools like SQL, JAVA, Python, R and design database, data models, ETL processes, data warehouse applications, and business intelligence reports. You’ll guide your team as it designs, defines, develops, and tests cloud solution components, and you’ll serve as a liaison between clients and developers to ensure that requirements are met and solutions are delivered.

You Have:   

  • 8+ years of experience in database administration, data management, data governance, data quality, test data management, data architecture, and data security

  • Knowledge of programing, including with SQL, JAVA, Python, and R, data source creation, report creation, data visualization, data wrangling, and data pipelines, including designing, implementing, and maintaining

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems

  • CompTIA Security + Certification

Nice If You Have:   

  • Experience in Project Management, Information Assurance, and Cybersecurity

  • Knowledge of electronic documentation, system administration, network administration, systems testing, and DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF)

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
