Program Planner

The Opportunity:

As program planner, you’ll provide infrastructure planning, analysis, and support to the program managers for international infrastructure projects and facilities initiatives that enable U.S. and Allied operations under the client's program. The role involves analyzing military plans, identifying facilities and logistics requirements in support of those plans, and coordinating with host nations to execute military operations. You’ll work closely with U.S. and international partners to assess requirements, develop solutions, and implement projects that comply with international agreements while enhancing mission effectiveness. You’ll assess regional infrastructure requirements, evaluate capabilities, identify required resources, develop execution plans, and monitor progress to achieve infrastructure capability and capacity goals. You’ll prepare briefs, reports, and planning documents on equities. You’ll provide technical advice that enables the government’s ability to enhance program efficiencies through common interests with external organizations. In support of bi- and multilateral meetings in various countries, you’ll prepare products and agendas, review documents, coordinate meetings and execute events.

You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience in use of the Microsoft Office suite of programs including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • 4+ years of experience at a combatant command or service headquarters
  • 3+ years of experience in DoW infrastructure planning and execution   
  • 2+ years of experience with NATO planning or resourcing
  • Ability to travel by air or ground up to 25% of the time
  • Ability to support rotating shift schedules and surge operations during crises and contingencies and assume additional responsibilities beyond core duties within other joint sustainment functions
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of experience with defense or joint planning, OR Master’s degree and 3+ years of experience with defense or joint planning

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience in developing and implementing Area Development Plans
  • Experience with data enabled planning tools like MAVEN Smart System and One Brief
  • Experience with DoD service component commands
  • Experience working with DoD joint planning process
  • Experience working in a DoD joint overseas environment
  • Experience with Project or Program Management
  • Experience with international agreements and DoD budget cycles
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • PMP Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,500.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
