Cloud Administrator

Key Role:

Join our Operations team to manage Cloud Infrastructure, including servers, databases, and AWS services, and achieve excellence in Cloud Operations and Administration for a DoD client. Manage an Army client’s AWS GovCloud environment. Architect and engineer AWS GovCloud services using the GovCloud IL4 AWS environment. Automate monitoring of the environment and apply security patches. Utilize AWS services and Infrastructure as Code (IAC) scripts to deploy services. Create and configure various AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and others. Apply STIGs and ensure security posture of the OS and applications. Create and update reference architecture documentation, including diagrams and specifications. Document environment changes and updates.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience with cloud administration, systems, and networks
  • Experience with Amazon AWS GovCloud
  • Experience with Lambda functions
  • Experience configuring and patching components such as RedHat and Windows OS
  • Knowledge of AWS services and structures
  • Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED
  • Security+ CE Certification

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience configuring and administering AppStream
  • Experience in the military or working with government agencies in the DoD
  • Possession of excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Possession of excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect and AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate (CSAA) Certification
  • Red Hat Certified System Administrator RHEL 8 Certification
  • Windows Server 2022 Administration Certification

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $67,700.00 to $154,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
