Network Administrator

Key Role:

Install, manage, and configure local-area networks (LAN), data communications networks, operating systems (OS), and physical and virtual servers. Monitor systems and verify system integrity and availability. Perform scheduled maintenance, including system backups. Manage and control user access. Maintain and update software and software licenses. Assist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between hardware and software assets.

Basic Qualifications:

-9 years of experience as a network engineer/architect and computer systems administrator

-9 years of experience with implementing operating systems and network device security in accordance with DoD Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG)

-9 years of experience with specifying, configuring, and administering boundary devices, including managed switches, proxy servers, routers, firewalls, cryptography, and intrusion detection systems and in remote switch and router management

-9 years of experience with correcting flaws and implementing technical controls in hardware or software installed within a network

-5 years of experience in performing vulnerability assessments using Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), DoD STIG, and Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) Compliance Checker and incorporating automated benchmarks

-Top Secret clearance

-BS degree in CS or Information Systems Management or 9 years of experience as a network technician/engineer on a DISN-connected DoD network in lieu of a degree

-Cisco Certified Network Professional – Routing and Switching Certification, Cisco Certified Network Professional – Security Certification, or Cisco Certified Network Professional – Data Center Certification

Additional Qualifications:

-9 years of experience with managing DoD Host-Based Security Systems (HBSS)

-9 years of experience in managing, architecting, and implementing physical networks, including logical need-to-know -separation between data

-9 years of experience with DoD Information Assurance Vulnerability Management Program (IAVMP)

-IAT Level II Certification, including GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP Certification

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.
