Job Description
Key Role:
Serve as the Exercise Planner supporting the development of multiple joint and maritime exercises ensuring exercise design enables maritime training opportunities. Support the client by coordinating and integrating staff subject matter experts to maximize maritime training objectives during joint and combined command post and field training exercises. Develop and coordinate master scenario events to stimulate the maritime exercise environment. Coordinate maritime exercise objectives with service component and combatant command exercise planners. Brief senior leaders on exercise development in progress reviews, exercise design plans, and exercise observations.
Basic qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience planning and executing exercises at a combatant command headquarters or service component headquarters
- 4+ years of experience with the Navy Planning Process or equivalent military planning process
- Experience with the five stages of the Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC)
- Experience on a U.S. Navy Fleet or Marine Expeditionary Force or higher echelon staff
- Experience using Microsoft 365 suite of programs including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Knowledge of Joint and Multinational exercise design at the operational level
- Ability to travel internationally up to 20% of the time
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor’s degree
Additional qualifications:
- Experience supporting and managing an exercise budget with multiple funding streams
- Experience with Joint Training Tool
- Knowledge of Europe or Africa areas of responsibility
- Knowledge of the aspects of multi-domain operations
- Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Possession of excellent time management and organizational leadership skills
- Completion of Joint Professional Military Education (JPME) Phase I

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $67,600.00 to $154,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
