Key Role:
Work as a data engineering leading with a team to design and implement solutions for complex deployments in the cloud, on premises, or hybrid environments using any of the major Cloud providers. Participate in architecture reviews of complex IAAS, PAAS, and SASS, and on prem resource usage by our clients. Design and lead team building complex data pipelines and analytics environments, working closely with cloud security and data science leads. Provide input on proper deployment of services and applications used in Amazon Web Services (AWS) deployments. Design and deploy data ingest, storage, and analytic solutions using distributed technologies at scale. Collaborate with different teams and mentor other individuals on big data deployments and technologies. This position is open to remote delivery from any location in the U.S., to include the District of Columbia. This position will require travel of up to 70% of the time to client sites.
Basic Qualifications:
-3+ years of experience with big data application design and deployments
-3+ years of experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
-2+ years of experience in programming
-Experience with design and implementation of complex systems involving data storage, movement, and data science
-Experience with distributed message queues, including Kafka
-Experience with designing loosely coupled architectures
-Ability to travel up to 70% of the time
-HS diploma or GED
Additional Qualifications:
-Knowledge of DevOps principles
-Ability to write and maintain serverless code, including Azure functions and AWS Lambda
-Ability to collaborate with others effectively and lead teams
-Ability to learn new concepts and technologies quickly
