Audit Readiness Analyst

Key Role:

Provide financial improvement and audit support to assist DoN clients with achieving and sustaining audit readiness. Support efforts to strengthen internal controls and improve the timeliness and accuracy of financial information. Develop internal controls test plans to support internal test work in preparation for a financial statement audit and conduct internal control assessments of business processes. Support DoN client's respond to external audit requests to include facilitating process walkthroughs and identifying evidentiary documentation. Support efforts to develop and implement corrective actions that transform the client's business environment while improving the timeliness and quality of financial information, as required. Support the timely and successful completion of tasks and deliverables. Work without considerable direction. Mentor and may supervise team members.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with financial analysis, accounting, or auditing

  • Experience in accounting, including government accounting standards and audit standards, or practical field work in government accounting and auditing

  • Knowledge of financial statements, focusing on federal accounting and audit

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business

Additional Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in a Navy Environment, including Working Capital Fund

  • Experience with financial audits and audit readiness efforts

  • Knowledge of DoD financial management practices, or business processes preferred

  • Knowledge of OMB A-123, GAAP, and GAAS preferred

  • Ability to be a team player, work in a fast-paced environment, and adapt to changing requirements

  • Possession of excellent technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business

  • CDFM or CGFM Certification

  • CPA, Certified Internal Auditor, or CISA Certification

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $73,000.00 to $166,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
