Naval Message Center System Administrator

The Challenge:

We’re looking for a systems administrator to analyze and manage system requirements, complete troubleshooting for the department, and make recommendations for corrective actions to system deficiencies. You will also perform system security functions and provide distance support to shore and afloat units.

You’ll help customers overcome tough challenges through monitoring and performance management. Your technical expertise will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission critical network. Your experience and communication skills will come in handy as you turn metrics into information and communicate their meaning. You Have:

  • Experience with Microsoft Server on Azure or Linux server environments

  • Ability to conduct independent analysis

  • Ability to provide verbal instruction and support

  • Ability to support a 24/7 facility in a shiftwork environment

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • HS diploma or GED and 2+ years of experience working with IT systems and technology or Associate's degree in Information Systems, Information Security, or Computer Science and experience working with IT systems and technology

  • Ability to obtain Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) Cyber IT Certified under 8570, Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level I Certification within 60 days of start date

Nice If You Have:

  • 2+ years of experience with Navy communication systems

  • Bachelor's degree

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
