Cybersecurity Engineer, Senior

Key Role:

Work on a team and develop and secure high-performance computer applications and interfaces. Translate customers’ operational needs into cybersecurity requirements. Engineer solutions to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data streams. Develop and implement security controls that protect mission critical assets in a development environment. Assess the effectiveness of the implemented solution. Analyze current risk posture of the system and present to the customer recommended mitigation plans, including partnering with cyber defenders. Apply expertise and adapt to meet client and business needs.

Basic Qualifications:

-10+ years of experience with cybersecurity engineering

-Experience with software security tools and methodologies

-Knowledge of secure coding standards, software, and cybersecurity best practices

-Knowledge of software development life cycle models

-Ability to work in an Agile teaming environment

-Ability to configure tools for software analysis and develop scripts and tools for software analysis

-Ability to research and provide recommendations on software assurance best practices

-Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree

-CISSP, CISA, or GCED Certification

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with software engineering

-Experience with high-performance computing systems and architectures

-Experience with security tools and devices, including network firewalls, web proxy, intrusion prevention systems, vulnerability scanners, or penetration tools

-Experience in securing enterprise applications and familiarity with Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP)

-Knowledge of Federal compliance standards, including NIST 800-53, FIPS, or FedRAMP

-Possession of excellent technical writing skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-TS/SCI clearance

-BA or BS degree in a STEM field or MA or MS degree in a STEM field
