Engineering Technician/Electronic Specialist Senior

Key Role:

Provide electrical and electronics technician support to the US Navy and other clients as part of the fabrication and production team. Perform complex electronic and mechanical functions related to the development, fabrication, modification, assembly, test, and check out of electrical, electronic, and electro-mechanical systems. Perform all levels of troubleshooting and technical analysis of electronics and electro-mechanical assemblies to ensure the proper operation and performance. Support the fabrication and assembly of wire harnesses, circuit cards, components, and integrated electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies. Apply electrical principles and other disciplines, theories, and concepts to support meeting client requirements. Work with engineers, clients, and other technicians to provide input to design of electro-mechanical systems as well as improvements and design changes. Work from engineering drawings and schematics ranging from sketches in the research and development phase to complete drawings used in production efforts.

Basic Qualifications:

-8+ years of experience in building electronic components and wire harnesses

-8+ years of experience with providing detailed electronic component repairs and trouble shooting

-Experience with interpreting engineering drawings and electronic schematics

-Experience with soldering techniques and acceptability of electronic assemblies

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with integrating electro-mechanical systems

-Secret clearance

-IPC-J-STD 001 Certification

-IPC-A-610, Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies Certification

-IPC/WHMA-A-620, Requirements and Acceptance for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies Certification
