Integrated Air and Missile Defense Command and Control Planner SME

Key Role:

Apply Command and Control (C2) planning and subject matter expertise support to a US component headquarters air operations center. Support integrated air and missile defense (IAMD) and ballistic missile defense (BMD) plans, programs, exercises, and operations through analysis and planning, and prepare recommendations that facilitate IAMD and BMD joint and coalition planning, operations, exercises, and training. Analyze and assess Combatant Command deliberate plans and concepts of operations and recommend improvements, as required. Analyze, assess, and make recommendations to improve client strategies and policies ensuring their alignment to DoD and coalition strategies and policies.

Basic Qualifications:

-6+ years of experience as a command and control planner, executor, or advisor at a Component Command, Combatant Command, or Service Headquarters

-3+ years of experience with air and missile defense plans, programs, and operations

-Experience with developing, writing, and articulating to senior military leaders multi-national command and control plans and defense designs

-Experience with air and missile defense system operations, joint or combined military staff processes, joint military planning, modeling and simulations, radar systems, data link architectures, joint and combined command and control, US foreign disclosure policy, and US government intelligence sources

-Secret clearance required

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualification:

-Experience with conducting IAMD and BMD training, operations and planning
-Experience with analyzing international policy and security regarding missile defense
-Experience with security cooperation programs
-Experience with EUCOM force structure and DoD component commands
-Experience with security cooperation and interagency coordination
-Experience in working with interagency partners
-Experience with Joint planning systems and tools

-Knowledge of air and missile defense systems, Joint and combined military plans, and modeling and simulation

-Knowledge of DoD planning, programming, and budgeting process and Joint requirements development and approval process

-TS/SCI clearance
