Space Technical Advisor, Senior

Key Role:

Provide direct support to meet Component Major Command (C-MAJCOM) strategic and operational level objectives by coordinating with Headquarters Air Force, Combatant Commands, other Component Commands, and C-MAJCOM components. Act as an adviser to prepare and present operational and strategic senior leadership recommendations concerning Space Control and space support activities. Analyze the development plans and policies, generate innovative concepts, support the execution of initiatives, and provide technical expertise regarding theater space employment. Provide expertise to support C-MAJCOM operational and tactical level objectives as part of the C-MAJCOM staff. Participate in the planning and execution to support the European Command (USEUCOM) theater-specific advanced exercises and training events focused on enhancing space capability integration, capacity, and combat capabilities to increase space readiness and interoperability. 

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in space force enhancement (SFE) or space control (SC)

  • 7+ years of experience with the Global Positioning System (GPS) and systems, Position Navigation and Timing (PNT), Missile Warning (MW), Command and Control (C2), and satellite communications (SATCOM)

  • Experience with developing, writing, articulating, and briefing multi-national command and control plans and defense designs to senior military leaders

  • Knowledge of space force application (SFA) and space support (SS)

  • Knowledge of space policy and operational planning, and its integration with the full Integrated Air and Missile Defense concepts, plans, policies, strategy, and architecture

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with organizational change to assist and develop plans supporting the integration with the US Space Force

  • Experience in a joint and allied environment working with the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, and coalition partner space systems and programs

  • Experience with preparing and organizing point papers, background papers, Concepts of Operations (CONOPS), Concepts of Employment (CONEMP), and briefings for senior leaders

  • Knowledge of the Joint Operations Planning Process - Air (JOPP-A) and Adaptive Planning and Execution System (APEX) or Joint Operations Planning and Execution System (JOPES)

  • Master's degree

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
