As a cloud architect, you know how to build a cloud based technical architecture that meets customer needs and takes advantage of cloud capabilities. What if you could use your cloud architecture skills to improve the global delivery, availability, and processing of some of the key analytical tools used by the defense community throughout the world? We need you to lead our team as we develop cloud based solutions to some of the defense industry's toughest challenges.

As a lead cloud architect on our team, you’ll be responsible for the continuous evolution and design of an emerging cloud-based analytics architecture. You’ll guide your team as they research the current environment and recommend tools and capabilities from various on premise, cloud based, and hybrid resources. You’ll share expertise with your team through leadership and mentoring, as they help the customer overcome their most difficult challenges in the cloud. Your technical expertise will be vital as you work with clients and mission users to ensure standards are met throughout the cloud migration process. This is an opportunity to use the latest cloud technologies as you look for ways to improve your customer’s environment using current cloud capabilities. You’ll be able to sharpen your skills in automation, cloud based security, and AI/ML while developing critical systems for the DoD. As a technical leader, you’ll identify new opportunities to build cloud based solutions to help your customers meet their evolving needs. You Have:

• 5+ years of experience with supporting cloud based solutions delivery deployment using one or more commercial cloud providers or IC/DoD cloud services
• Experience with leading architecture and long term strategic roadmap discussions to align operational needs to technical requirements and cloud architecture solutions
• Experience with monitoring and managing cloud services consumption, application and service portfolios, and real-time analytics of cloud based delivery performance
• Experience with cloud adoption and onboarding processes
• Experience with DevSecOps and Agile development and delivery practices
• Experience as a team leader working across multiple groups and sub-organizations
• Experience with designing solutions in accordance with NIST RMF or DoD 8510 security requirements
• Active Top Secret clearance
• HS diploma or GED
• One or more DoD 8570 security certifications, including Security+, CISSP, or CISM

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with designing and managing containerized solutions, including Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher, and Helm
• Experience with contributing to and managing crowd sourced development approaches
• Experience with both Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure commercial cloud services
• Experience with designing and managing data lake solutions
• Knowledge of core cloud security practices and solutions that enable and enforce secure delivery of cloud based services on a global scale
• Active TS/SCI clearance
• BA or BS degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
• MA or MS degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering preferred
• One or more cloud certifications, including AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, or ISC2 Certified Cloud Security Professional

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.
