AWS Cloud Systems Operations Administrator, Senior

Key Role:

Manage, administer, support, and enhance cloud environments, ensuring continuous improvement and rapid problem resolution. Apply advanced consulting skills or extensive technical expertise, including full industry knowledge. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Work without considerable direction, and mentor and supervise team members.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in IT systems administration, including with both Microsoft and Linux platforms
  • 2+ years of experience in containerized platforms
  • Experience with system administration support and management for Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS)
  • Experience supporting development and test teams in AWS environments, including Kubernetes and traditional RHEL servers
  • Knowledge of maintenance, including patching, STIG, and upgrade processes, on AWS cloud infrastructure
  • Ability to manage and operate workloads on AWS systems
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • IAT Level II and Kubernetes CKA Certifications
  • AWS Certification such as AWS Cloud Practitioner, AWS SysOps Administrator, Production Kubernetes Cluster Operations, Kubernetes and Cloud Native Associate (KCNA), Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), or RH294: RHEL Linux Automation with Ansible Certification

Additional Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience with container orchestration or application deployment
  • Experience implementing security controls and compliance measures in AWS environments
  • Experience deploying, managing, and operating workloads using the AWS Management Console and CLI
  • Experience with AWS tools such as Kubernetes, EKS, Diode, and Lambda
  • Knowledge of container orchestration tools and deployment automation techniques
  • Possession of strong mentorship skills, to guide junior staff and foster team development
  • Master’s degree
  • Security+ and AWS SysOps Administration Associate Certifications

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,700.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
