Cyber Warfare Engineer

Key Role:

Conduct testing and analysis to identify vulnerabilities and potential threat vectors into systems and networks, develop exploits, and engineer attack methodologies. Apply advanced consulting and extensive technical expertise and full industry knowledge. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Work without considerable direction and mentor and supervise team members.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience with cybersecurity tools and techniques
  • 3+ years of experience with programming in Python, C/C++, or Java
  • Experience with building and testing on virtual machines, including VirtualBox, VMWare, or Parallels
  • Experience with Automation tools, including Ansible or Puppet
  • Knowledge of cyber-physical systems, architectures, and protocols
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with reading, modifying, or creating *NIX shell scripts or Windows PowerShell scripts
  • Knowledge of penetration testing or red team operations
  • Knowledge of blue force training operations or proficiency requirements
  • Knowledge of risk frameworks, including NIST Risk Management Framework, MITRE ATT&CK/D3FEND, or Diamond Model
  • Knowledge of processes and best practices related to the management of information and technology risks
  • Knowledge of security standards and information security and compliance frameworks, controls, and best practices
  • Ability to mentor and train others in technical processes, procedures, tactics, and strategy
  • Ability to leverage expertise in technical writing and presentations
  • 8570 IAM Level I Sec+ or higher Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $81,800.00 to $186,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
