Information Security Risk Specialist, Mid

Key Role:

Conduct security assessments on DoD Cloud environments using the Risk Management Framework (RMF). Provide guidance on procedures to ensure compliance within an accreditation boundary. Implement security strategies to control and manage organizational information risks. Assess information systems to determine risk exposure and develop documentation addressing system security requirements. Enhance information security education within the organization and team. Monitor the latest security technologies to ensure that project personnel remain in the know. This position is a hybrid role with a combination of working at a Booz Allen office or client site and working remotely.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in a Cybersecurity role
  • 4+ years of experience with the DoD RMF accreditation processes
  • 1 year of experience with conducting security assessments and implementing STIG checklists, including OS, SIEM, database, SharePoint, containers, or applications
  • Experience with developing accreditation packages using eMASS or XACTA and working in cloud environments, including AWS and Azure
  • Experience with technical writing
  • Knowledge of the NIST 800 series publications
  • Ability to develop security documents and artifacts and translate requirements to the larger team
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree
  • IAM Level 1 Certification

  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Possession of excellent collaboration skills

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $73,100.00 to $166,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
