Defense Acquisition Program Manager, Mid

Key Role:

Maintain responsibility for planning and managing DoD acquisition programs to meet product delivery and quality and cost goals for an undersea networks program office. Assist the client with managing an acquisition program from technology development through sustainment phase, including ensuring cost, schedule, and performance requirements are achieved. Act as a project team leader, review user and technical requirements, identify tasks, assign and coordinate resources, create and track project schedules, and ensure clear communication and timely resolution of issues. Take client direction and lead aspects of a project in an integrated product team environment, collaborate with multiple government activities, and provide regular updates on project status.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with program management in the DoD acquisition environment

-Knowledge of DoD acquisition practices, financial management, contracting, and program and project management

-Knowledge of anti-submarine warfare, hydrographic surveying, submarine fiber optic, cabled systems, and ship operations

-Knowledge of Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, and Excel

-Ability to comprehend and execute strategic intent and work semi-independently

-Ability to learn essential technical elements of a DoD technology, Concept of Operations (CONOPS), Operation Security (OPSEC), and security

-TS/SCI clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-BS degree in Engineering, EE, ME, Ocean Engineering, or CS preferred

-PE, EIT, or PMP Certification preferred
