IT Systems Engineer, Senior

Key Role:

Perform infrastructure engineering and integration services across a large portfolio of enterprise IT systems and platforms. Leverage subject matter expertise in data center-centric to Cloud-based architectures that envision future state designs delivering increased agility, scalability, performance, and resiliency. Architect, design, analyze, build, and deploy Cybersecurity-infused solutions to drive technology modernization and the incorporation of industry best practices. Incorporate new approaches and tools that enhance existing solutions to facilitate cost optimization in operations and sustainment. Engage and lead technical exchanges with product teams, other IT engineers, and stakeholders throughout the system life cycle and support data-driven analytics and process rigor that facilitate effective decision-making. Apply continuous improvements in engineering processes and work with high-performance teams to generate the required sophistication to survive increased complexity and the need to go faster. Deliver critical services and capabilities in defense enterprise and tactical networks. This position is open to remote delivery anywhere within the U.S., to include the District of Columbia.

Basic Qualifications:

-7+ years of experience in architecture and design of complex distributed IT systems environments

-3+ years of experience with Unix engineering

-3+ years of experience with mid-to enterprise-scale networks

-Experience in an operations role

-Experience with architecting, designing, securing, installing, troubleshooting, and documenting integrated server or network solutions

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-Bachelor's degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with various vendor enterprise server, storage, networking, software, and application services or equivalent depth in a single solution platform area

-Experience with virtualization technologies

-Experience with *NIX engineering or operations

-Experience with Cloud infrastructure engineering

-Experience with Python and PowerShell scripting a plus

-Master's degree in CS or Engineering

-IAT Level II Certification, including Security+ and OS or CE

-VMware VCP Certification, LPIC-2 Certification, CASP or CISSP Certification

-MCSA Windows Server 2012 or MCSE Server Infrastructure 2012 Certification or newer

- CCNA, AWS or Azure Certification

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Compensation:

The proposed salary range for this position in Colorado is $110,00 to $125,000. Final salary will be determined based on various factors.
