UI Designer, Mid

Key Role:

Use your design skills to help create an immersive experience. Function as an immersive User Interface (UI) artist, and work with a creative team to create amazing, intuitive, and user focused UI art. Help develop artwork for the applications and demonstrations that play an important role in how government clients meet their missions. Build your skills and experience in developing and designing, implementing, and optimizing UI assets for a wide array of PC, Mobile, Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), and Mixed Reality (MR) applications. Create user interface front end assets for safety trainings, simulations, wargaming, games, and training. Expand your skills with the ability to learn a variety of artistic disciplines, including lighting techniques and visual effects (VFX) as we support and encourage professional and artistic growth. Support the team on exploring new augmented reality, virtual reality, and mixed reality technology and their capabilities. This position is open to remote delivery anywhere within the U.S., to include the District of Columbia.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience with 2D User Interface (UI) for games or training applications

  • Experience in game engines with Unity or Unreal

  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, including typography, color theory, and layout

  • Ability to provide a demo reel or online portfolio

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience in UI with AR and VR applications

  • Experience with motion graphics or 2D animation

  • Experience with graphics design or illustration production

  • Experience with game development or training applications

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word and PowerPoint

  • Experience with 3D modeling a plus

  • Experience with QA testing a plus

  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

  • Ability to be a detail-oriented self-starter

The proposed salary range for this position in Colorado is 80,000 to 85,000. Final salary will be determined based on various factors.
