The Opportunity:

You’ll support Joint Warfighting Development for the DoD. Work in a highly dynamic, fast-paced environment with aggressive project timelines, shaping the Future Joint Force. You’ll serve as part of a Booz Allen team supporting a Joint client with developing military capabilities for multiple combatant command, Military Service, and coalition clients. You’ll provide functional, domain, and regional expertise for the development of future Joint Concepts, and apply advanced consulting skills and technical expertise to develop Joint Concepts and associated supporting documents. You’ll bring an in-depth understanding and expertise of DoD Joint Operational Planning and Joint Concept Development, and develop innovative solutions to complex problems that align with and support the National Defense Strategy and National Military Strategy.

You Have:

  • 20+ years of experience with Joint military operations on a Combatant Command or Component Staff
  • 4+ years of experience with Joint or Service Concept Development
  • Experience with a Combatant Command or Senior Service Staff
  • Experience working on complex warfighting problems establishing warfighting requirements and translating abstract ideas or concepts into a coherent document
  • Experience as a professional planner, including Joint Advanced Warfighting School, School of Advanced Warfighting, School of Advanced Military Studies, Maritime Advanced Warfighting School, and School of Advanced Air and Space Studies
  • Knowledge of command relationships and inter-organizational cooperation, including multi-national, interagency, and non-governmental agency coordination
  • Knowledge of National Security Policy and Strategy
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Master’s degree
  • Graduate of Senior Service School

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with Joint Force Development and Design activities
  • Experience with communicating with senior managers and coordinating in verbal and written formats
  • Experience with capturing and refining military capability or information requirements
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Project
  • Ability to write and communicate at the executive level

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
