Mission Assurance Assessment and Information Technology Subject Matter Expert

Key Role:
Identify, analyze, and evaluate complex and highly sensitive systems, policies, processes, and instrumentation related to foreign threats and homeland security. Analyze the procedure for solving complex design, integration, and analytical problems. Perform and direct scientific and technical intelligence analyses. Report changes, trends, and implications regarding the design and integration of evolving systems and instrumentation. Prepare briefings and reports on analysis methodology and results. Provide work leadership to junior employees, as needed. This position requires travel.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience in the DoD, including the mission assurance, security forces, military police, law enforcement, or physical security

-Experience with conducting risk or vulnerability assessments or analysis and recommending action or mitigation to eliminate vulnerabilities to risks and missions and forces

-Experience with providing programmatic analysis input, written deliverables, and verbal presentations at the Combatant Command or Service Component level

-Experience with integrating protection programs into a Mission Assurance (MA) construct, including providing MA training and preparing and briefing MA to senior leaders

-Experience with operational planning support for vulnerability or MA assessments, including researching, developing, and maintaining assessment schedules, providing task critical asset analysis or pairing and developing assessment planning products, including letters of instruction, assessment focus statements, program of action and milestones, all hazard threat assessments, detailed information requirements, and concept of operations briefings

-Experience with the Microsoft Excel Developer Package, including Excel macro functionality and core fundamental computer programming knowledge with Visual Basic for Applications (VBA)

-Knowledge of MA databases or programs of record, including task critical assets and risk or vulnerability mitigation tracking

-TS/SCI clearance

-BA or BS degree


Additional Qualifications:

-Ability to travel to the USCENTCOM area of responsibility up to 25% of the year

-Completion of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) Mission Assurance Assessment Course
