Digital Battlespace Chief Cyber Engineer

Key Role 

Join as a leader in an elite Digital Battlespace Platform (DBP) team to secure the next generation ISR technologies for Air Force clients and advise organizational leadership on emerging technologies and identify targets of opportunity for marketing and implementation. Lead integrated cybersecurity and business planning to increase business capability and value, reduce cost and risk, foster innovation, and maximize accountability and return on investment. Interact frequently with internal and external management and senior-level customer representatives concerning Booz Allen cyber investments, customer projects, operational decisions, scheduling requirements, and contractual clarifications. Lead briefings and technical meetings for internal and external representatives. Perform as the go-to person to cybersecurity capabilities with specific client strategies, programs, initiatives, and investments. Identify new opportunities to secure cloud-based solutions to help our client meet their evolving needs as a technical expert. Support the program overall cybersecurity efforts and lead a team of cross-functional cybersecurity professionals in support of priority DoD efforts.

Basic Qualifications 

  • 12+ years of experience in leading complex technical project delivery with large government clients in a fast-paced environment

  • 10+ years of experience in the cybersecurity and security engineering field and leading complex Cybersecurity capability design and implementation projects for government clients, including the implementation of new people, processes, and technologies for Cyber Defense Operations with a focus on cyber controls

  • 5 years of experience building, designing, and installing security systems for cloud-based computing and data storage systems and developing secure applications and software for accessing the cloud

  • Ability to develop and execute a vision for the program that transforms service delivery for cybersecurity and security engineering services across different price and cost models for professional, shared, or managed services

  • Ability to develop next generation cyber capabilities and delivery and deployment models that integrate cyber controls with cyber defense operations that drive improved enterprise-wide visibility of alerts and telemetry information incorporating NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF), and an intelligence agency triad and the Authority to Operate (ATO) Process with understanding of applicable tools, including eMASS, ACAS, or Xacta

  • Ability to identify and capture business opportunities with new and existing clients through the development of leading-edge solutions that support mission priorities and leverage ability to create partnerships across technical solution providers with integrated multi-vendor teams focused on a client solution

  • Ability to manage and lead multiple parallel technical delivery projects and teams across various challenging environments and collaborate with senior firm leaders to foster positive client and vendor relationships with Experience leading, mentoring and educating security teams about security-based architecture and secure usage of the cloud

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

  • IAT or IAM Level III Certification

Additional Qualifications 

  • 10+ years of experience with requirements analysis and solutioning Air Force weapon system capabilities to rapidly deploy enterprise solutions, including prototyping, systems design, development, testing, integration, fielding, and sustainment

  • Experience with working in Network Defense Teams

  • Experience with Air Force Distributed Common Ground System (AF DCGS) AN/GSQ-272 SENTINEL weapon system, U-2, RQ-4 Global Hawk, MQ-1 Predator, or MQ-9 Reaper

  • Experience with Development Security Operations (DevSecOps) and open system architectures and Software, Platform, and Infrastructure as-a-Service

  • Experience with Hybrid architectures in communication challenged environments 

  • Experience with government acquisition and proposal response 

  • Knowledge of Networking, Storage, Compute, and Database fundamentals, Operating Systems, including Linux, UNIX, Ubuntu, or Red Hat and with working with security applications to conduct enterprise vulnerability scanning and conducting penetration testing

  • Ability to conduct technology assessments and market analysis 

  • Master’s degree

  • AWS or Azure Cloud Solutions Architect Certification
