Acquisition Logistics Analyst, Mid

Key Role:

Serve as the focal point for planning, managing, and coordinating life cycle logistics support. Develop and communicate logistics requirements that have far-reaching consequences for logistics design. Lead in the implementation and maintenance of information, including status for technology-based hardware and software assets. Serve as the technical advisor on contracts. Apply advanced consulting and extensive technical expertise and full industry knowledge. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Provide thorough and proper logistics inputs to supportability for future weapon systems. Work without considerable direction. Mentor and supervise team members. Apply a working knowledge of logistics engineering fundamentals in a team management environment. Interact with managers, engineering staff, and support staff in multiple organizations. Perform moderately difficult logistics engineering tasks. Conduct research, including reading source material and meeting with subject matter experts (SMEs) as needed. Provide periodic reports to Project Managers, Integrated Logistics Support Managers, and customers. Demonstrate sound technical judgement and some independent evaluation and ingenuity. Conduct routine analyses and tests and complete required documentation. Develop schedules and estimates for assigned tasks and prepare reports on the results of the work accomplished. Provide Logistics Support Analysis (LSA), and Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) to multiple programs. Interface with engineers, vendors, and original equipment manufacturers to obtain drawings, specifications, or data to allow development of a support concept through analysis such as trade studies, configuration, logistics support resources, and provisioning data.

Basic Qualifications:  

  • 5+ years of experience in acquisitions logistics support in the DoD

  • Experience developing Life Cycle Support Plans (LCSP) and supportability milestones

  • Knowledge of DoD acquisition, maintenance requirements, and organizational functions involved in logistical support

  • Knowledge of logistical requirements in support of program decision milestones

  • Ability to develop and analyze data to determine logistic objectives and goals, identify support requirements, including funding and technical support requirements, and establish relationships between the participants involved in deploying the plan

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree

Additional Qualifications:  

  • Experience working in a Navy Program Office

  • Knowledge of asset management systems, such as Service Now ITAM tools, and Sunflower Property Management applications

  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills  

  • Project Management (PMP), SCRUM Master, or ITIL Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $51,600.00 to $106,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
