Communications and Outreach Project Manager

The Opportunity: 

An effective project requires a manager who is passionate about guiding it through the complexities of its lifecycle. That’s why we need you, a seasoned project manager who can ensure a healthcare, fraud, waste, and abuse program achieves success.

As a proficient communications and outreach project manager, you know how to inform and engage key audiences and promote an organization’s desired reputation. We’re looking for an experienced communications and outreach manager like you, who is ready to lead and willing to win for the client and live our mission every day.

As a lead project manager, you’ll design, implement, and maintain impactful programs by guiding the team. You will organize and coordinate program objectives, while your team will look to you for direction as they navigate requirements, budget constraints, and staffing challenges. This is your chance to impact detection and deterrence of healthcare fraud, waste, and abuse, while sharing your knowledge and expertise of program management methodologies.

You Have:   

  • 5+ years of experience in organizing, directing, and managing all aspects of contract operational support functions involving multiple complex and inter-related project tasks

  • 5+ years of experience with managing teams of contractor personnel and providing overall direction of program activities, including quality assurance, financial, schedule and risk management

  • 5+ years of experience with managing project communications, including interfacing with and presenting to senior clients and stakeholders

  • 5+ years of of experience with managing outreach to various stakeholders

  • Experience in establishing and managing a change control process to facilitate change management efforts

  • Experience with delivering sensitive information and technical content to a wide range of stakeholders and using a variety of delivery techniques

  • Experience with program integrity tactics, procedures, processes, and programs

  • Experience with developing reports and other written deliverables and presenting to a senior and executive audience

  • Knowledge of healthcare fraud, waste, and abuse

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Science, Public Health, Policy, or Administration

Nice If You Have:   

  • Experience with overseeing health program integrity operations, projects, budgets, and staff

  • Experience working with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS)

  • Experience in facilitating large meetings with both internal and external audiences

  • Experience with healthcare payer audits, investigations, and reviews, including data analysis, interviewing, report writing and editing, and case presentation or briefing

  • Knowledge of program integrity related policies, plans, and procedures

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

  • Accredited Healthcare Fraud Investigator (AHFI) Certification

  • Health Care Anti-Fraud Associate (HCAFA) Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
