As a Cyber Engineer, you will design, implement, integrate, and maintain systems and tools to automate complex cyber activities. You’ll apply advanced consulting and extensive technical expertise and full industry knowledge, and develop innovative solutions to complex problems. You will oversee determining and developing innovative approaches for addressing cyber security risks associated with application development. You will use your expertise to resolve and mitigate vulnerabilities, design security functions, and provide evidence-based reasoning to substantiate claims for trustworthy and secure work products.

You Have:
- Experience with cybersecurity in network security, infrastructure security, applications or systems security, security operations, SIEM, incident response, or threat intelligence
- Experience with development and use of automated software testing framework to validate best practices are being used with secure coding
- Experience with a primary programming language, including Java, .NET, or Python and SQL and JSON
- Experience with programming, including in Ruby on Rails, Scala, Perl, YAML, and HCL
- Knowledge of OWASP and SANS identified common security coding flaws, threat modeling, and automated and manual static security code analysis
- Ability to perform code review and static, dynamic analysis, and identify and address security issues
- Bachelor's degree and 18+ years of experience with cybersecurity and security application, or Master’s degree and 10+ years of experience with cybersecurity and security application
- SECO Institute – Secure Programming Foundation (S-SPF), SECO Institute –Certified Secure Software Developer (S-CSSD), ISC2 – Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), ISC2 – Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP), SANS GIAC – GWEB, SANS GIAC – GISP, EC-Council – Certified Application Security Engineer Java (CASE Java), or EC-Council - EC-Council Certified Application Security Engineer .Net (CASE .Net) Certification
Nice If You Have:
- Experience with programming languages, including Python
- Experience with SonarQube, Checkmarx, and WebInspect
- Experience with log management platforms, including Splunk or ELK Stack
- Experience with Cybersecurity tools, including Splunk, Cisco ISE, Forescout, BigFix, Tanium, Zscaler, Palo Alto, McAfee, Carbon Black, CrowdStrike, FireEye, Cloud Security platforms, or ServiceNow
- Experience with Linux administration
- Experience with networks and network protocols, including TCP, UDP, DNS, HTTP, HTTPS, SSH, and FTP
- Experience with Git and GitHub development processes
- Automation Tools Certification, including Splunk or Splunk SOAR, Security+, or CEH Certifications
- Certified Information Systems Security Profession (CISSP) Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $106,200.00 to $242,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.Work Model
