Organization Development Consultant, Lead

The Opportunity:

Organization Development (OD) Consultants serve in project lead roles, applying a broad understanding of both quantitative and qualitative data collection methodologies, analysis, and recommendations to improve organizational performance through changes to strategy, organization structure, process, human capital, culture, information technology, and management practices. In the role, you’ll work with organizations to determine and articulate goals, identify business opportunities and potential growth areas, and develop action plans for organizations to achieve their long-term objectives. In other cases, you might advise on how to improve operations, increase process efficiency, modify people-related programs and practices, or help organizations effectively deal with large-scale organizational change. An OD Consultant may lead customer or stakeholder analyses and identify strategies to mitigate any negative impact from changes on organizational performance, customer service, and employee behavior. The role of an OD Consultant is highly collaborative and will often require high contact with senior level executives.

Are you passionate about helping organizations understand and reach their goals? Do you live for that “ah-ha!” moment when your client realizes you helped them identify a clear path forward to transform their organization and their workforce? Many organizations know where they want to go yet need OD Consultants to help them chart a path to get there. We’re looking for an OD Consultant like you who can partner with clients to help them identify their vision, long-term goals, and objectives, and provide an action plan on how to achieve them, as well as help them successfully navigate large scale organizational changes.

As an OD Consultant, you’ll partner with your client to conduct assessments and analyses to help them see their organization from the outside. From unrealized potential to systemic challenges, you’ll help create a holistic view of their organization, as well as the multiple, data-driven paths they can take to transform. In other situations, you’ll assess how a change will impact business processes or the design of an organization to help your team develop an effective change strategy. Your ability to understand the effects of change in an organization and how to mitigate challenges will help your client achieve successful and sustainable changes. This role serves as a people leader both from a career management standpoint, as well as project team leadership.
