Risk Project Manager, Senior

Key Role:

Support the Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) program as a Risk Project Manager. Support activities, including identifying, capturing, mitigating, and monitoring technical risks associated with the implementation of an Electronic Health Record System deployment. Work with technical teams and recommend or guide mitigation activities to reduce the threat of identified risks. Analyze technical material such as documents, presentations, and meeting minutes. Recognize potential risks to be addressed and mitigated. Produce reports and presentations for senior management that show risk trends and priority actions needed, as well as being able to articulate major areas of concern.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in a professional work environment
  • Experience with managing IT-related projects
  • Experience with tracking costs, schedule, and performance progress
  • Experience with data networks
  • Knowledge of risk registers and how to manage the overall risk management process
  • BA or BS degree or 18+ years of experience in a professional work environment in lieu of a degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience in the VA
  • Experience with implementing Electronic Health Records
  • Knowledge of networking concepts such as VPNs, IAM, cybersecurity, data architecture, and data centers
  • Ability to work with a wide variety of technical disciplines
